Trusting your instinct will not always lead to positive results. I tried this before where I relied solely on my gut feeling and it didn't end up well. I lost quite a big number.

But still, following your instinct is not so bad. Besides, we can't really predict how the price will move. Market analyses are just a guide and from here our instinct is formed. So oftentimes, our instinct is correct.
