The Chinese police have been running two offices in the Netherlands since 2018 and there are strong indications they are being used to put pressure on critical Chinese nationals, according to research by RTL Nieuws and investigative website Follow the Money. The ‘overseas police service stations’, based in Rotterdam and Amsterdam, were first identified by Spanish civil rights group Safeguard Defenders in a report published in September. It said at the time they had been primarily set up to conduct administrative tasks to aid overseas Chinese, such as sorting out driving licences, but that they ‘also serve a far more sinister and wholly illegal purpose’.

Harga Bitcoin dan kripto utama lainnya terpantau berjatuhan pada perdagangan Kamis (7/4/2022), di tengah potensi semakin agresifnya bank sentral Amerika Serikat (AS) untuk melawan inflasi tinggi. Melansir data dari CoinMarketCap pada pukul 09:00 WIB, Bitcoin ambles 4,04% ke level harga US$ 43.367,13/koin atau setara dengan Rp 622.318.316/koin (asumsi kurs Rp 14.350/US$).

Harga mayoritas kripto utama berbalik ke zona koreksi pada perdagangan Rabu (6/4/2022), setelah pejabat bank sentral AS menyatakan akan mengetatkan moneter secara agresif untuk mengekang inflasi yang meninggi. Bitcoin ambles 3,06% ke level harga US$ 45.260,64/koin atau setara dengan Rp 650.395.397/koin. Kementarian Keuangan yang dipimpin Sri Mulyani resmi mengenakan pajak pada transaksi cryptocurrency atau aset kripto seperti Bitcoin, Ethereum hingga Dogecoin di Indonesia. Pajak yang ditarik adalah Pajak Pertambahan Nilai (PPN) dan juga Pajak Penghasilan (PPh). Kebijakan ini tertuang dalam Peraturan Menteri Keuangan (PMK) nomor 68 tahun 2022 tentang Pajak Pertambahan Nilai dan juga Pajak Penghasilan atas transaksi perdagangan aset kripto. Aturan pajak baru ini mulai berlaku 1 Mei 2022. "Bahwa penghasilan dari perdagangan aset kripto merupakan tambahan kemampuan ekonomis yang diterima atau diperoleh wajib pajak baik yang berasal dari Indonesia maupun dari luar Indonesia yang menjadi objek pajak penghasilan," tulis PMK tersebut, seperti dikutip Selasa (5/4/2022).
