I remember mining whole btc on my laptop, and later ~200 btc on a 3x5830 rig. Damn, I sold those btc for ~$5 each. And at the time the forums were full of posts about how mining wasn't worth the electricity and only fools mined. Actually, only fools like me sold them.

I've actually tried it on my Macbook. Thankfully, it wasn't damaged but I wasted hours of keeping it running because I was able to mine only a very little amount. So don't attempt it anymore.

That is a very long time ago , when Bitcoin has very low difficulty. PC or graphic card can no longer mine bitcoin
