Have you ever fallen for a money making scheme/scam? If you have, how did it get you? What was it that you fell for?

I was convinced by a friend to invest some of my money in the company he was working. Without a doubt, I entrusted him my funds. When I asked him about my share, and he told me that the money was gone. No explanations!
