      Mantan Presiden Amerika Serikat (AS), Donald Trump, digugat ke pengadilan oleh kelompok hak sipil karena komentarnya yang menyebut virus Corona (COVID-19) sebagai 'virus China'. Trump diminta membayar US$ 1 kepada setiap warga keturunan Asia dan Pasifik yang tinggal di AS sebagai permintaan maaf.
      Seperti dilansir kantor berita Xinhua, Sabtu (22/5/2021), gugatan hukum terhadap Trump itu diajukan ke pengadilan federal di New York oleh Koalisi Hak Sipil China Amerika (CACRC). Komentar Trump yang menyebut Corona sebagai virus China itu dilontarkan saat pandemi merajalela di AS.

      Disebutkan dalam gugatan itu bahwa penggunaan istilah tersebut oleh Trump dan istilah rasis yang menghina lainnya tidak berdasar, karena asal virus Corona belum ditentukan. Disebutkan juga bahwa komentar Trump merugikan warga komunitas China-Amerika.
