I don't think there is anything wrong with investing on altcoins. Indeed, Bitcoin has proven itself and could be considered the most established cryptocurrency but let us also not invalidate other coins. If other investors decide to invest on altcoins aside from Bitcoin, then it's fine. They would still surely earn from that.

Small investors probably still cannot afford investing on Bitcoin as it is obviously a huge investment. Starting with altcoins is not a bad choice.
