How to keep your funds secured?

Im quite new to crypto so i wanted to know what exchanges do you use and i'd be grateful for advises on security. I currently keep my crypto on localbitcoins but it recently got hacked to im concerned for my money. I want to move it somewhere safe but still be able to make trades without much fuss. Im still learning to trade but im pretty serious about it. Can you recommend me a good exchange that hasn't been hacked yet?

All exchanges are exposed to the risk of being hacked. The only way I can think of now to keep your fund secured is to keep them on an offline wallet. This for me is the safest way because it is not connected to the internet. But you have to be careful in handling it as it could be physically damaged.

True. Hardware wallet gives better security than an online wallet. Select an exchanger that has a good reputation, without security issues.

Hardware wallets indeed has better security. However, with this kind of wallet, funds are not always accessible.
