Can the government destroy bitcoin?

maybe in other countries .. there are some countries banned bitcoin but i think they cannot destroy it .. bitcoins can help you become rich in the near future . then if government stops this then they're like destroying the dreams of many people

They can only ban Bitcoin, but they don't have the power to destroy it. The existence of Bitcoin has threatened some Financial institutions. They think digital coin might take over their business.
