How can someone safely store the Etherium?

I thought your online keys are supose to make your cryptocurrency be safe but hey let there be something that can help us , am all for a secure key and then keep it offline , there is no one to hack it, I usually store mine on a book , like nucler codes, nothing of mine do I store online , because I once lost and that lesson taught me a lot so offline.
