    Because hot wallets generate your private keys on an internet connected device, these private keys can't be considered 100% secure. ... Hot wallets are great if you make frequent payments, but not a good choice for the secure storage of bitcoins

    Yeah they are safe. However you just need to choose the right one for yourself. So better choose those which are safe and commonly used.

    Yes, they are safe but you should use an offline wallet which is also known as cold storage. It provides the highest level of security to save your crypto coins. Such storage store your wallet in a safe place that is not connected to the network. It is a good practice to store your coins in a cold wallet.
